Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation, and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage, and import/export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage, and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage, and terminals; and a marine transportation business primarily operating on U.S. inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity. This position is located in NW Houston off the Sam Houston Parkway. Newly hired employees will receive on-the-job training alongside various Control personnel to learn safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and other industry-related procedures. Pipeline Controller Responsibilities: Remotely start/stop pumps and/or compressors and operate valves. Monitor and control the movement of material through pipelines and facilities. Analyze changing conditions and alarms, making necessary adjustments. Determine accurate timing of pipeline events by reviewing batch listings and schedules. Detect abnormal operations quickly, using critical judgment to react accordingly. Monitor pipeline integrity and coordinate maintenance activities. Monitor storage levels of tanks and caverns. Maintain communication with field personnel, customers, and suppliers to ensure safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications: Minimum of 60 college credit hours with oil and gas field operations/plant experience or relevant military or job experience operating as a pipeline controller or board operator. An Associate's degree is strongly preferred. 2-3 years of Chemical or Oil and Gas industry experience is preferred. Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email. Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including background checks, DOT drug screen, and aptitude assessments. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to learn and develop new skills through training. Willingness to work in an indoor office environment and perform unscheduled overtime. Ability to understand mechanical and technical equipment operations. Proficiency with new technologies, procedures, and processes. Ability to pass the COBRA aptitude test if required. Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. Ability to visually distinguish multi-color alarms and work at a console for extended periods.
