Job Description
As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining, monitoring, and continuously improving our client's environmental compliance program. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to permitting processes, conduct field inspections, and support regulatory reporting to ensure alignment with local, state, and federal environmental standards. Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain compliance with stormwater, air, water discharge, appropriations, and conditional use permits.
• Conduct water sampling, manage treatment programs, and maintain accurate environmental reporting records.
• Create project maps and diagrams using tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Perform routine field inspections of environmental permits, often navigating challenging terrain.
• Collect and submit soil samples for analysis as part of compliance monitoring.
• Research environmental landscapes, analyze technical reports, and review documents to support due diligence processes.
• Use survey-grade equipment to gather, process, and analyze data for site and stockpile volume calculations.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure all environmental regulations are met and documented effectively.
• Stay updated on wetland regulations and other relevant environmental compliance standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field; entry-level candidates with relevant education will also be considered.
• 2-5 years of experience in environmental compliance, geology, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Adobe Acrobat; experience with GIS mapping is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective reporting and collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate uneven terrain.
Salary & Benefits:
• The salary range for this position is $60K-80K
