Position Overview for the 2025/2026 School Year

As a School Psychologist, you will be at the forefront of promoting mental health and educational success. Your expertise will guide students through their challenges, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Psychological Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations of cognitive, emotional, adaptive, and behavioral functioning using a variety of standardized tests.
• IEP & 504 Plan Support: Collaborate on individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans, creating evidence-based interventions tailored to each student's needs.
• Crisis Support & Training: Provide immediate crisis support and train school staff on mental health strategies and behavior management techniques.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments and interventions, preparing detailed reports for IEP meetings and evaluations.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Engage actively in team meetings to strategize and implement effective student interventions.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Must hold an Arizona Department of Education School Psychologist Certification.
• Background Check: Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and FBI Background Check (or equivalent).
• TB Clearance: Required.
• Eligibility to Work: Must be eligible to work in the US.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
  • Prior experience as a school psychologist.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English.

Physical Demands:

• Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.
• Activity: Frequent tasks involving reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Sensory: Ability to perform essential job functions in moderate to high noise levels, with or without assistive devices.
