Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Led product teams developing new products and enhancing existing data products at its core and designing it to make it scalable to other markets with minimal efforts.
  • Work with the Product Owners and the other Product Managers to gather internal and external business needs, customer and user pain points and prioritize them according to the company’s product strategy.
  • Assess the client value and business relevance of addressing the needs or problems of the industry.
  • Engage closely with the product teams to design solutions to the identified business need.
  • Participate in discussions with team members to select and apply relevant analytic techniques and create actionable business insights.
  • Ability to understand the business context by discussing existing data models with senior client leaders and deriving useful business insights.
  • Extract, transform, and organize the data into datasets using tools like SQL.
  • Ability to break down a project into specific tasks involving business analysis, data science, and engineering.
  • Experienced in building and maintaining predictive and/or prescriptive models in production at an enterprise scale.
  • Experienced in developing and running simulation, optimization, and what-if scenario planning tools to support decision-making.
  • Consistent record of working cross-functionally to develop innovative solutions using advanced analytics.
  • Prior experience requirements gathering, roadmap/strategy development, and risk management further.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver a presentation.
  • Utilizing appropriate quality checks to ensure the results are sound.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8-12 years of professional work experience with at least 5 years in business data analytics
  • Experience working with CPG – Retail domain
  • Experience in either Revenue Management (Pricing, Promotion, Trade Arch etc.) or Portfolio Mgmt. function (Assortment Planning, Mix Planning, Category Optimization etc.)
  • Experience working with the global team and offshore delivery teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics
  • Demonstrated technical, and analytical skill set to work with analytics toolkit
  • Ability to engage with executive/VP-level stakeholders from the client’s team to translate business problems to high-level analytics solution approach
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to develop innovative solutions using advanced analytics
  • Prior experience in synthesizing and packaging complex analyses and delivering results to non-technical audiences including senior leadership teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver a presentation
  • Familiarity with agile development methodology
  • Strong project management and team management skills and ability to work with global teams
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and big data systems such as Azure is a plus
